Necromantia – 'Alpha and Omega - The Coiling Dragon' 2CD A5 Digibook

Hardcover A5 digibook Double CD edition with 88 page book including liner notes, new interviews & pictures limited to 500 copies

'Alpha and Omega – The Coiling Dragon' brings together every Necromantia recording created before their landmark debut 'Crossing the Fiery Path'. This definitive collection features 'Promo 1990', Necromantia’s contributions to the epochal split 'The Black Arts / The Everlasting Sins' with Varathron, including the rare track “Family of Dog”, as well as the band’s revered 'Demo 1993'. Together, these recordings capture the sinister atmosphere, occult vision and unmistakably unique sound that made Necromantia one of the most influential forces in Greek Black Metal. Formed in 1989 by Magus Wampyr Daoloth (The Magus) and the late Baron Blood, the band immediately distinguished themselves with a style that was fully realised from the very beginning. Dual bass guitars replaced standard rhythm guitars, eerie theatrical passages added an otherworldly character, and cavernous vocals summoned an atmosphere steeped in arcane darkness. Even in their earliest work, Necromantia radiated a pitch-black aura that set them apart from the global underground. 'Alpha and Omega – The Coiling Dragon' stands as a vital document of Necromantia’s groundbreaking legacy and an essential release for devotees of the Hellenic Black Metal scene.
