Bestia Arcana – 'Holókauston'
Shimmering gold & green swirl vinyl edition in gatefold sleeve with insert & dowload code.
Finally reissued! Originally released in 2017 and long out of print, 'Holókauston' remains a defining work from Bestia Arcana, the occult black metal project led by Naas Alcameth (Akhlys, Aoratos, Nightbringer) alongside current and former members of Nightbringer. Conceived as a heretical black metal opera and an alchemical experiment, 'Holókauston' plunges into a world of esoteric mysticism, occult theology and apocalyptic darkness. Building on Bestia Arcana's 2008 debut 'To Anabainon ek tes Abyssu', the album pushes Alcameth's distinctive style of intricate, chaotic composition to extreme depths. Swarming guitar lines, contorted rhythms, ritualistic vocals, crushing black metal and ominous symphonic layers combine with hallucinatory dark ambient passages to create an intensely immersive and disorienting atmosphere. The result is experimental, occult and uncompromising black metal that remains as compelling and unsettling today as when it first appeared. A monumental release for devotees of avant-garde, atmospheric and esoteric black metal.
