Remastered reissue of the 1997 debut album from Officium Triste of the Netherlands. A landmark album of funeral doom that envelops the listener like a cold shroud of snow as it cuts to the heart with an icy immediacy. It has all of the heaviness of funeral doom with slow expansive passages but without the plodding drone, instead the band explodes into melodic, mournful riffs, death doom rock and wonderful dynamic overtures of atmosphere, acoustic mood all with an acute finesse for musicianship.
